Online Bookstores

Compare the prices of your textbooks at the AllBookstores.com site and you may be able to save money.  You'll need to order early enough to allow 2 to 10 days for shipping, depending on which shipping option you choose (and pay for).

Directions for using the AllBookstores.com home page

• Enter the exact title, author, or ISBN of the book you want.  

• Click "Search."  The site returns a list of all books found that match.  

• Choose the correct book from that list and click "Compare Prices."

For example, in June 2005, doing these steps for the new textbook for the MTH 163 class (ISBN 0321292669)  reveals that it can be purchased for as low as $43 used or $104 new (including shipping) from an online store. Compare that to the price in the college bookstore, but note that the accompanying MyMathLab access code comes packaged with the book at the college bookstore, but it likely is not included at other stores.  Without the necessary access code, you should not buy it.
