HARD HAT CAMP DETAILS
Through
the collaborative effort of the partners of the Hard Hat Camp,
Tidewater Community College, Paul D. Camp Community College,
Tidewater Builders Association (TBA), Ainslie-Widener Inc.,
Associated General Contractors of Virginia, Inc., Waterfront Marine
Construction, Inc., S.B. Ballard Construction Co., Conrad Brothers,
Inc. and Hitt Electric Corp., the camp is a two-day program for high
school guidance counselors and teachers exploring education and
career opportunities available for graduating students.
Participants will share ideas through open discussions and
team-building activities. Local construction industry experts and
area educators will present available education programs and jobs
available - from labor based to technology focused. Day two consists
of an onsite tour of a residential development and a commercial
construction site in progress and a look at the internal operations
of a large construction firm from both perspectives.

Pre-Registration Required
Participants receive $250 stipend for completion plus valuable take
away reference material!
